Google Adsense Alternative – Bidvertiser Ads

One of several ways people make money is by placing 3rd party ads on their website or blog. World’s largest online advertising publishing service provider is Google AdSense. Google is believed to give millions of bloggers all over the world about 40% or even 50% of their total blogging income. Really good, isn’t it? Even Though Google ad publishers have to comply with some very strict ad serving policies. Google is quite picky when it comes to accepting your publisher account.

So very few applicants get through the first phase of application / website screening, i.e. Acceptance of your website/blog. But Google Ads is not the only way around. There are several other advertising services that are a quite lenient than disciplinarian Google. One such site that I came across was Bidvertiser & that is where I first earned advertising money.

Well it’s not like Google who will ask you to have make a total of 100$ before requesting a payout, Bidvertiser allow its publishers to have payout at just 10$. So it was very easy for me to reach that payout threshold.

How to Subscribe to your Favorite Blogs Using Feeds

Ever since the release of LiveJournal in 1999, online blogging has been steadily becoming a powerful method of social interaction between Internet users. Recent studies show that somewhere around 77% of Internet users read a blog.

With over one million original blog posts a day around the Internet, it may start to seem like a daunting task to follow your favorite topics, whether its politics, technology, sports, or business.

However, there have been many programs and websites set up that will allow you to track your favorite blogs in one place using subscriptions. If you notice, we have a link to subscribe to our RSS Feed. Using this link, you can updates every time there is a new post on our blog via your preferred RSS reader.

This article has two main goals:

Tell you how to find the best blogs that write about what you want to read.
How to consolidate all your subscriptions in an easy to read manner.

How to Find Your Favorite Blogs

As you might have guessed, there are websites that keep track of the most popular blogs on the Web. One of my favorites and probably the most well known of the blog cataloging websites is Technorati.

Technorati tracks down the latest articles from every website, the top blogs from every blog, and the top blogs in every category. Let’s assume that we want to find a blog about politics.

We click on the politics link in the top navigation bar and notice the “Top Political Blogs Section.”

Now, click on any of these. As an example, let’s click on “The Huffington Post” and follow the links to their website. Almost all blogs have a very visible subscribe button or an orange RSS button (like the one next to my subscribe link). Huffington’s is on the right, in the “Follow” Section. Clicking on this takes you to a page with all the feed options.

Choose any and follow the address. I chose the first “Full Blog Updates” which took me to website’s feedburner page. Now, copy the URL, and let’s go step two, adding it to a news reader.

Consolidate your Subscriptions with Google Reader

I decided to use Google reader because most people are familiar with the wide array of services Google offers (Gmail, Adwords, Blogger, Orkut, etc). Point your browser to http://www.google.com/reader/ and sign – in with your Gmail account. If you don’t have one, make an account, chances are you will be using one of Google’s services in the near future, and the all inclusive user name comes in very handy.

Click on add a subscription in the upper left corner and insert the code you just copied into the feed url. Then click add. You will notice about ~10 new items on the right side where it says “All items.”

Directly below the above screen, there is an area called “Subscriptions” where you can manage your subscriptions. You can even click explore and “Recommended Sources” to find blogs about topics you like.

Congratulations! You have added a subscription to Google Reader (a content aggregator). In the future, you can just click + Google on the Feedburner page to add feeds to your Google Reader.

Upload the entire gocode plugin folder directory to your blog’s plugins folder at (/wp-content/plugins/).

Activate the plugin on the “Plugins” tab of the administration panel.
To manage your redirects, open your WordPress admin, and go to the Tools > GoCodes

Enter your affiliate link as shown below.

Track your affiliate links and clicks.

Note : You may choose the URL redirections to be NOFOLLOW and NOINDEX

New year brings Increase in Page Rank

Another year another surprise. I just woke up and noticed that the page rank of Pocket Money Finder has been raised to PR2. Now what is that supposed to mean.

What is Page Rank ?

Google page rank is one most highly desired search status that everyone wants to get it who ever learns about it. And getting your first ever page rank is a great feeling. Google search has a system to rank (called Page rank or PR) websites with related links in top search positions in search engine results as web crawlers pick them up earlier than in usual.

What was it for me

This is one of the happiest day in my blogging career since the blog is now recognized by “www” giant Google. 2009 was an amazing year for me when as i learned about Making money by PTC which gradually did not work out in the long run and not worth the effort i put in. Moreover the world hate spammers.Then under the influence of some fellow bloggers i started writing about technology,money making tips and got some traffic who by the way of viewing the advertisements in this blog generated me revenue for keeping up my work in this blog.He i have written all my experience in my money making journey.

Struggle

Initially it took hell lot of time to start making money out of your blog, but eventually with time, you will realize that you are earning quite a lot by doing just few hours of work, and doing it in your own convenient way.
