Many times , websites like Paypal ask for your PAN Card details , which by law is mandatory for anyone opening a account with paypal. Most of us dont carry a pan card all the time , so we forget our 10 didgit pan number.
But now , the PAN Card issuing authority of India has launched a website where anyone can know their PAN card details just by entering , your date of birth , name .

What is PAN ?
Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-digit alphanumeric number, issued in the form of a laminated card by the Income Tax Department. It issued under the Indian Income Tax Act 1961.

I’ve lost my card & need to apply for a new one but don’t remember my PAN number.
That website says “There were no records matching your Request.” when I enter my Name (As on card) and the DoB.

Sorry to hear you lost it. The site should match and show some record. otherwise you need to quote your earlier pan ,and request reissue of new pan card.

on this site but i am not able to see my record on incometaxindia department because it is asking for

Surname *:
Date of Birth / Incorporation* :
and I have not fill surname in my pan card form there is only First name: and Middle name: and Date of Birth
I have applied for netbanking in bank of india bank and they did not find my record there and they are saying that before checking it on incometaxindia site they can’t activate my Netbanking please provide me correct information about this
